My name is Sasha Tarling. I am originally from England but moved to Connecticut when I was eight years old. I am currently a sophomore at High Point University in North Carolina. I am majoring in strategic communication and hope to work in PR in New York City in the future. I enjoy working out, going to concerts and watching sports. In this blog, I am going to explore what it means to live under the first amendment in the United States. Although I am not a citizen I want to understand my rights as a legal permanent resident in the U.S. I also hope to examine what it means to be media literate in today's society, which seems to be full of "fake news".
